Position Summary

With Minimal Supervision and Increased Latitude for un-reviewed Work:o Demonstrated ability to pass panel review by meeting or exceeding requirements noted in Relay IIo Has professional safety behavior and holds high expectation of others to work safely and follow safe work practices.o Has expert verbal communications skills and frequent use of echo protocolo Can reviews and critique isolation procedures, coaches team in proper techniques for writing and execution of these procedureso Can provides peer level P&C technical supporto Is capable of creating hand written test routines using manufactures bulletins.o Can remains focused under internal and external pressures. Is resilient to conflict, leads team while under pressure and ensures all distractions are eliminated.o Can lead any construction or maintenance activities, within any station, no matter the sensitivity and complexityo Has the demonstrated ability to conduct remote logic testing via mirror bits, using MB tester or relay MB outputs along with knowledge of end to end testing with time synched test sets o Utilizing old and new drawings and existing conditions, is fully capable of finding and correct design errors that affect scheme operation.o Is expert at installing, commissioning, testing and troubleshoot carriers, tone equipment, traps and tuners, MP or EM relays.o Can lead teams to ensure paperwork and files are accurate and submitted in timely fashion with no issueso Can lead the P&C installation portion of mobile substations/transformers or other temporary equipmento Can lead other technicians in organization, develop and execute a procedures, work plans to complete a tasks with error free performanceo Can be frequently called upon by supervisor for leadership roles, and team service and committeeo Has expert knowledge to trouble shoot P&C circuits within any station or protection schemeo Can independently commission schemes by interacting with TCC/DCC/Nuclearo Has working knowledge of complex SCADA systems, with sound ability troubleshoot wiring and I/O associated SCADA systems, legacy RTU's, SEL3354's, SEL3610's, DFR's.

Demonstrated ability to pass panel review by meeting or exceeding requirements noted in Relay II

Demonstrated availability for after hours work and call out rotation.

Expert technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance. Frequently leads others.

Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills. Maintains accurate records and files ensures all team documents are submitted in timely fashion.

Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.

Coaches and mentors other Technicians.

Provides leadership within the organization on a continual basis.

Basic/ Requirement

Valid Drivers License

Ability to pass any required back ground check for NERC/CIP/Nuclear compliance

If required ability to pass aptitude testing is required for this position.

Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs for 100 feet

Due to Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) imposed

regulations, the body weight limitation is imposed at 275 lbs. or less.

Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (or equivalent) or 4 - 7 years related experience in relay/substation work, or equivalent job-related and educational experience.

Specific RequirementDemonstrates the ability to pass qualifications as mastering the Relay Tech II classification

Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural and ethnic

Good written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated ongoing leadership skills.
